Tapado - famous Garifuna coconut seafood soup

The Caribbean coast of Guatemala is rich in fresh fish and coconuts. No surprise it is a place where a famous coconut seafood soup was invented.

Topado is a dish, which contains a wide variety of seafood is a big pride of local Garifuna people.

You don´t have to be afraid, seafood is always fresh. However, topado hasn´t the same tate everywhere. You should be lucky and find a good restarurant (or local grandma). I was lucky and had probably the best one in Guatemala:).
